Well, The Pens swept the Senators and it has been a long layoff. The playoffs have been exciting with both Conferences having great games. We are almost set. Washington looks to come back tonight to try and tie the series by winning their second in a row or face elimination. Boston has valiantly fought back with great checking and goal tending and upset the Eastern Conference Champions. The Penguins and Rangers will sit and watch the games with the rest of us to see who they may join in the next round. I think Boston will upset Montreal and Philly will take care of the Capitals. I would have enjoyed a Pens Capitals series. The marketing is great. Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin. The three most exciting players. Briere has been the man on fire rolling the Flyers to the next round. So, the East second round would be Pens vs Bruins, Rangers vs Flyers.
Now for the Western Conference. With upsets all around with Colorado and Dallas making it to the next round. Detroit escaped elimination by surviving the Predators. We wait for the last game. San Jose trying to redeem themselves after going down in the series to the Flames. Calgary has been hot riding solid goal tending. I will go with the trend and say Calgary takes it at San Jose with a 2-1 final.

Buying a Lens
Well, I have a Canon Rebel XTi and a modest budget. After performing many searches and reading many reviews the Canon L series seems to be the top piece of glass to get. The 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens is the most versatile but also requires a hefty budget. I have found some on Ebay at $1400. Trying to stay at a cost of under $300, I did find the 70-300mm 4/5.6 IS by Canon. The older 75-300mm f/4-5.6 is also available but has a slower AF, poorer build quality, and heavier than the 70-300mm. Atleast thats what read. I have put some bids on Ebay. Let's see what happens. I consider myself a nature, wildlife photographer. I know i am giving up depth of field for this and won't get the great, crisp, clean, tact photos i desire. Let me play around some more and get some more finances to upgrade. This is one of the benefits of digital camera's and Ebay. Lenses can hold some value. This is good so as we grow out of lenses it is easier to upgrade without collecting a bunch of glass.
